Hi Chelle,
Yes, those are small robots for some home duties. Most of these kind of robots can recognise the voice and face of their owner or other family members, and have some level of artificial intelligence which means, that they "develop" skills or "learn" i.e. they are programmed to learn and improve their habilities.
